Today I Needed a Lighthouse
My mood today is this little lighthouse. It is a tiny ASCII scene of a coast at night, and every few seconds the lighthouse sends out a beam of light. A friend sent it to me at exactly the right moment.
It reminded me of a game called To the Moon. Its cover is a white lighthouse standing in the moonlight. The fun part is that its creator, Kan Gao, wrote the story, built the game and even composed the music all by himself.
Sometimes I put the soundtrack on. It makes me happy and sad at the same time, and then somehow it heals me a little.
Today was also the last day at the office for a colleague from our sales team. We talked for a while just now, and it felt quite sad.
But there was this lighthouse in the moonlight, blinking every so often, so I opened Spotify and played For River, the piano version. I feel much better now.
